So my Dad has started having some hearing loss due to a neurological issue. This has affected him deeply, especially in social situations where he has started losing his confidence because of his inability to hear and understand properly.

So I built this app to perform live transcription on the go. While Google Translate exists, it’s not great for my local Odia language (especially with all the different ways it’s being spoken depending on where my family members are living) at all. So I am using Indian models Chariot and Sarvam to do the trick at this moment.

I have also emailed Sarvam if I can get access to the Edge on-device model for this. I didn’t build this with the intention of commercialising it so relying on API/Credits for the long run seems financially unfeasible.

I love collecting stuff. I collect watches and playing cards. We all have a habit of collecting something or remembering how much of it we have seen! But it’s not always possible to take our collection with us, so I have been building app to make it possible.

For most of my life, I had never gone to theaters. Up until 2022, I had watched cinema in big screens for only 6 times my entire life. But then, things started changing slowly. Starting last year, I picked up the pace of watching as much movies as possible in big screens. I am planning to vibe code an app around this to track what I have watched so far and on which dates (I find apps like Letterboxd or IMDB too clunky.
